Introducing Cezar: The Cashmere Bengal Cat With a Remarkable Likeness to an Enchanting Miniature Lion

Cezar the cat might bear a striking resemblance to a lion, but don’t let his appearance fool you – he is the most affectionate feline you’ll ever come across.
Wojtek Czachurski, a 63-year-old salt mine worker and avid photographer from the small town of Bochnia in southern Poland, proudly describes his beloved pet as exceptionally loving, cheerful, and, like all Bengal cats, remarkably gentle. In awe of Cezar’s beauty and rareness, Czachurski frequently captures stunning snapshots of his remarkable kitty and showcases them online, much to the astonishment of viewers.
“I can’t say I’m surprised by the reactions; after all, Cezar is truly exceptional. It’s not every day you come across a furball that possesses a wild, captivating appearance, coupled with long, luxurious hair,” he commented.

With kind permission from Wojtek Czachurski and the esteemed Sirocco Bengals and Cashmeres cattery, we bring you this delightful piece.

According to Wojtek Czachurski and Sirocco Bengals and Cashmeres, many people often assume that Cezar, a 2 1/2-year-old cat, is a crossbreed of Bengal, Maine Coon, or Siberian cats. Some even accuse Czachurski of using photo-editing tools to alter the cat’s appearance. However, Czachurski patiently clarifies the situation by explaining that Cezar is a purebred Bengal cat with a pedigree known as Sirocco Cashmere Bengal among breeders. Despite his journey into photography starting with capturing moments of his granddaughter during their walks, Czachurski also has a happy group of cats accompanying him at home, along with a loyal husky companion of 15 years.

When I brought the little tomcat kitten home from Sirocco Bengals and Cashmeres, I was worried that it might feel overwhelmed. However, my concerns turned out to be unfounded. I had done my research on this special breed, the Bengal cat, and knew that it needed plenty of attention, care, and exercise.

One of the most important things I learned about Bengal cats is that they dislike being alone. They are incredibly sociable and enjoy the company of people. In fact, they will often stick by their owners’ sides and not leave them even for a moment. They also thrive in the presence of other animals and feel most content in a group setting.

Do you know who Cezar the lion-cat hangs out with? His buddies include Borys, a 3 1/2-year-old Bengal tomcat who is known for being caring and gentle. Another friend of Cezar is Portos, a silver Bengal tomcat who is both powerful and gentle. When they’re not sleeping or eating, these three felines are all about playing. They have an abundance of energy and even exhibit some dog-like traits, such as fetching and sleeping at their owner’s feet. Of course, being cats, they are also incredibly curious creatures.

For Czachurski, who grew up surrounded by animals, having the opportunity to live with these magnificent felines is a dream come true.

“Since I was a child, I’ve been captivated by wild cats like pumas, panthers, cheetahs, and jaguars,” he explained. “I always fantasized about having one of these extraordinary creatures as a pet.”
Czachurski emphasizes that despite their size and strong personalities, his furry companions don’t cause any problems. He mentions that his Bengals aren’t particularly fond of being picked up and will only seek affection and cuddles when they feel like it. He adds, “They are clean, incredibly intelligent, playful, affectionate, and stunningly beautiful. They don’t damage furniture and they never exhibit aggression or hostility towards humans. They genuinely enjoy being around people.” Cezar, now a fully-grown adult weighing over 14.3 pounds (6.5 kg), has become the pride and joy of his owner Czachurski. Czachurski holds a deep love and respect for Cezar and his little gang, and he enjoys sharing the happiness they bring with the rest of the world.

“The Bengal cat is an exquisite breed,” he remarks. “So why not showcase its beauty?”
